My name is Jürgen Baier and I will present the current investigations of our research group at the University of Regensburg. We are part of the research group of Prof. Landthaler at the department of Dermatology.

An overview of the time-resolved investigations of singlet oxygen luminescence in vitro and in vivo is given here. A direct and precise method to detect singlet oxygen is the measurement of its luminescence in the near infrared spectral range at 1270 nm.
